5 Keys to the Art of Self Care

Self Care is a hot topic.  I see many women struggling with it because they already have too much on their plate and it becomes another job.  While we all need some time and space to ourselves, if this is your only self care, then it will probably never be enough as your energetic output will be more than your input.

So the questions is, what fills you up?  What inspires and energises you?  The answer to these questions need to form the foundation of your daily life – aka your lifestyle.

 

Here are the 5 key take-aways everyone should know about self-care.

  1.  Me-time is an important aspect, but alone is not enough (and usually too hard to get any way)
  2. You want you daily lifestyle to look after you as well as everyone else.
  3. You need to really explore what it is that you want to be creating in your life (not just what you don’t want)
  4. Creating new habits, rhythms and rituals that support that which you do want requires you to let go of things tethering your o the past and to what you don’t want.
  5. Sometimes everything feels like it’s falling apart, but it’s really falling away.  A fresh space is paramount to allowing something new into your life!.
